From
the northern end of the city: come to the intersection of Oyster Point
Rd. and Warwick Blvd. Travel southeast on Warwick for approximately 2
miles. On the right side of the street is Todd Stadium with the Newport
News School Board building on the corner. Make a right turn at the next
traffic light, which is Hidenwood Shopping Center.
From downtown: come to the intersection of J. Morris Blvd., the
entrance to the Mariner’s Museum. Turn left at the 4th light, which is
Hiden Blvd. Hidenwood Shopping Center will be on the right.
From Williamsburg: take I-64 or 143 (Merrimac Trail becomes Jefferson
Ave. In NN) to Jefferson Ave. At the corner with Oyster Point Rd. (there's
a Starbucks on the right corner) turn right onto Oyster Point Rd. to Warwick
Blvd. (see above for further directions)
From
Norfolk and Virginia Beach: take I-64 to the J. Clyde Morris Blvd.,
Rt. 17 south exit. There are signs for the Mariners’ Museum and Christopher
Newport University. Stay on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. until you reach Warwick
Blvd. Turn right. (see above for further directions).
From Portsmouth and Suffolk: take I-664 through the Montitor Merrimac.
After exiting the tunnel, when the road turns to the right is the 29th
street exit (The exit is a very sharp right turn). At the top of the exit
ramp immediately move to the far right lane, bear right and descend to
Warwick Blvd. Take Warwick Blvd. to the intersection of J. Clyde Morris
Blvd. It's several miles. (see above for further directions).
